The One Day Juice Fast: Juicing One Day At a Time is perfect for when you are not sure of your commitment to a juice fast! Most people are capable of juicing for one day. The great thing about a one day juice fast is that it can bleed into the next day if you choose to do another one day juice fast.
The one day juice fast can lead into several days or weeks as long as you take it one day at a time. Most things in life are less overwhelming when you take them one day at a time!

How to Juice One Day At a Time
First, decide on either recipes or pre-made cold-pressed juices in advance. You could even devise a plan to use both. Like a girl scout, be prepared!
Try to have at least enough for 6-8 bottles or servings for an entire day. If you think you might like to try again the next day and the day after that, just do 6-8 servings of juices for those days too, anywhere up to a full week. This way, you won’t feel pressured to do a juice fast daily, but you’ll be able to if you want to.

Another way to take juicing one step at a time is to give equal attention to drinking smoothies, in addition to your juices. This way, you’ll be less likely to get bored. You’ll also be full and satisfied, as smoothies tend to be thicker than juices. Also, smoothies can be turned into smoothie bowls which have the consistency of a thick and chunky soup, only raw vegan with lots of fruits and rolling oats on top.
Sometimes juices taste great but they don’t hit the spot. That’s where smoothie bowls come into play. When you’re trying to do your one day juice fast, you won’t feel so limited in your choices and that’s a good thing!
How to Make a Smoothie Bowl
To make your smoothie bowl, start with a smoothie base. To do this, you’ll want to add almond or cashew milk to a blender, along with an array of delicious fruits. Fruits are plum full of antioxidants which fight off free radicals. Free radicals are what attack your healthy white cells. The skin of the fruit is especially known for it’s healing properties, so toss the fruit in and pair well.
Fruits That Pair Well
Blueberries, banana, and strawberries. All-in-one or as a pair. Use the whole tray for blender.
Pineapples and banana. Be sure to use pineapple juice if using a can instead of fresh made.
Raspberries, banana, and blueberries. All-in-one or as a pairing.
Papaya, pineapple, and bananaa. All-in-one or as a pair.
Coconut guts (with coconut water, if possible), pineapple, and banana. All three, please!
Pomegranate, banana, and blueberries. Again, all three!
Smoothie Bowl Toppings
These can be used as additives in the blender when making your smoothie or as a topping. Either way, it’s both nutritious and delicious!
- Spirulina ( a type of green algae)
- Grape Nuts (Please Note: Not Gluten-Free)
- Oats (Please Note: Not Gluten-Free)
- Flax Seeds
- Chia Seeds (You can also soak chia seeds for a bubbly texture)
- Cinnamon (one dash)
- Nutmeg (one dash)
- Vanilla Extract (one capful)
- Cashews (sprinkle over top of bowl)
- Coconut Shavings
- Acai Berries
- Strawberries (chopped)
- Pomegranate Seeds
- Banana Slices
- Hemp Seeds
For the Smoothie Base
Be sure to add a layer of almond milk or cashew milk to blender. Add in fruit parings (see above). Now add the seeds, grape nuts, or rolling oats to the blender. This is what will give it that thick, almost jello-y texture that makes a really good smoothie. Add a little water as needed. This is to prevent ingredients from becoming too gelatinous. Blend well!
Now that you’ve got your smoothie made, pour it into a bowl. You’ll notice it’s thickness. Now add toppings (see above). The toppings will turn your smoothie into a heart-healthy, rich smoothie bowl that will actually keep you full for hours!
This will get you through your one day juice fast with ease and grace! The next day, when you wake up, you can then decide if you want to do another one-day juice fast. You can do this every day to keep going or to transition into a body cleanse. A body cleanse is a lot like a juice fast, only with raw vegan foods.
